Oxford based driver is looking for victory at Brands Hatch : Paul Rees: “The wins will come” (17-8-09)

Paul Rees is hoping to turn his front-running pace into victory when Formula Palmer Audi visits Brands Hatch next weekend (22/23 August).

The eMedia and Oxford Audi-backed driver is often racing at the sharp end of the grid, but he has endured some unfortunate moments so far during 2009 - none more so than when he clashed with Kazim Vasiliauskas at Silverstone whilst running in third place.

Having scored his maiden FPA podium on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit earlier in the season, Rees is pleased to be returning to a venue he knows well and one which he feels suits his style: "Brands Hatch is one of my favourite circuits," said Rees.

"I love both the Grand Prix and the Indy configurations. Last year I missed out on Pole by a thousandth of a second, and I will push as hard as ever to clinch pole this year."

Currently lying seventh in the overall standings, Rees is confident that the bad luck is behind him as he focuses on reigniting his championship challenge: "I'm aware that I need to score wins and consistently finish on the podium in the second half of the season if I am going to catch Tristan Vautier and Kazim Vasiliauskas," noted Rees.

"It's definitely achievable - I have lost many valuable points so far this season through bad luck. I am sure my luck will turn however, and if I keep pushing the wins will come."
